Wozniacki is ready for the Swedish Open

It required substantial pressure on the WTA and a moved event.
But now tennis champion Caroline Wozniacki quite ready for Swedish Open in Bastad 2011th
Racing Head Nina Wennerstrom flew to Australia to sign a contract – and she also managed to secure the world’s best doubles: Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta.

“After talking with the audience, sponsors and media, have all said: “We want to see Caroline,” said Nina Wennerstrom.

In an exclusive interview with Sport-Express in December, told Caroline Wozniacki, 20, that she wanted to play in Bastad in the summer. And now it is quite clear. Swedish Open’s tournament director Nina Wennerstrom went to Melbourne where the Australian Open was played – and beat Danish super star’s signature on paper.

“It feels fantastic! Says a delighted Nina Wennerstrom. But it has been far from easy to secure up Wozniacki. Last season was stopped namely 20-year-old from playing the best because of the WTA’s rules. The ten best players in the world may only play a small tournament each season half, and last year was Wozniackis home tournament in Copenhagen during the same period Bastad.
Moved contest

This year, however, the competition in Denmark, moved to second half – thanks to pressure from the Swedish quarters.

“ By Caroline has been very, very difficult. We Fajt was with 20 other tournaments on her, and then also with the WTA. We moved, the entire calendar in order to get her to join.

“When we arrived in time to race in 2009 it became a success for Caroline came. Everybody was happy and the whole competition and girls tennis in Scandinavia got a boost. So the first thing we did when the contest was done was to make clear to Caroline in 2010. But then came the WTA, after we made it clear to Caroline, with that rule, and then we did of course a little essence of us. Caroline brings the whole tournament and we said we had to have her. And in a market in the Nordic countries we ought to have the world number one who is Scandinavian. So finally joined the WTA to move the tournament in Copenhagen, “says Nina Wennerstrom.

And Wozniacki seem very keen on playing in Bastad. “She looks best as his second home. She saith himself that it is not often as she can get in the car and come to a tournament an hour later. She really wanted to play, “says Wennerstrom.

Besides Wozniacki will further two World studios to Bastad. The Italian double pair Flavia Pennetta, 28, and Gisela Dulko, 26, is ready for the tournament.

“Very fun. They are one of the most charismatic double tour that has been on the WTA Tour, says Nina Wennerstrom.
